Picking Report

April 12, 2015

Strawberries still looking great!  I'm thinking May 1rst for high tunnel picking.  We'll see how they turn.  Right now blooming and berries forming.

Raspberry buds formed and just about to burst into flower.

April 2nd, 2015

Sorry so long for the update on the website.  A glich caused me not to be able to access the website content.

Strawberries!  They are blooming in the high tunnel.  I'm thinking right now picking around the 1rst of May.

Raspberries:  They are growing well in the high tunnel.  Looking like early June.

Blackberries:  We are in a war with the voles, and they are just barely coming out of dormancy.  I don't have a prediction yet until I see blooms.  Basically I think we are having an average for Missouri spring.  We have had 3 unusual springs in a row, warm, cold, colder.  This one seems on track for normal.  That means late June for the start of blackberries.  Peak in July.
